In many hydroponic systems such as NFT, Aeroponics and Deep Water Culture, the growing media is very minimal, with the majority of the root base growing in the growing system and nutrient solution. With other growing methods like Auto pots, Hand feeding or drip irrigation the growing media is more substantial.
We have an extensive range of media available for hydroponic growing, as your choice will be driven by the growing system you have decided to use. Each type of growing media has its benefits and drawbacks. It is about finding what suits your style of growing and which you can use to obtain the best results when growing your prized plants

Canna Coco Professional Plus 50l Bag

£14.00 £12.00 incl. Vat

CANNA Coco Professional Plus

CANNA Coco Professional Plus is a coco-based growing medium that offers the gardener and his plants many advantages in comparison with other substrates:

  • CANNA Coco Professional Plus is a pure, organic product with a homogeneous structure and has had a full buffering, eliminating the side effects of growing on coir, as coir could consume some of the nutrients.
  • CANNA Coco Professional Plus is free of harmful viruses and soil diseases, thanks to CANNA’s unique production process.
  • CANNA Coco Professional Plus has a complex water/air system that provides the ideal conditions for growing plants.
  • CANNA Coco Professional Plus contains a special mould (Trichoderma) that protects the plants against soil diseases.
  • CANNA Coco Professional Plus can be used a number of times and makes an excellent potting mix improver after use.

CANNA Coco Professional Plus = R.H.P. quality

CANNA Coco Professional Plus consists of 100% coco flakes. Specially selected prime Indian coconuts form the base for CANNA Coco Professional Plus. Not touching the outdoor ground in the complete production process ensures the end product is free of weeds or soil diseases. Washed in fresh water means no salts are present. This makes it the best growing medium of the future.

The production process is subject to strict quality controls so we can vouch for this product’s quality.

CANNA Coco Professional Plus carries the strictest R.H.P. quality mark. Actually, the quality of this product goes well beyond the R.H.P. standard. In short, the R.H.P  quality mark means that the product is free of weeds. The R.H.P. inspection is not limited to the finished product but covers the sourcing and processing of raw materials all the way to the bag.

CANNA’s buffering process allows us to ‘pre-program’ the medium to a certain age. This ensures you get the same consistent, high quality material time after time.

CANNA TERRA PROFESSIONAL SOIL MIX – 50L BAG

£15.00 £12.00 incl. Vat

CANNA Terra Professional

CANNA Terra Professional is a nitrogen-rich potting mix for plant cultivation. Your plants grow best in a nitrogen-rich potting mix. CANNA Terra Professional potting mix is unlike anything you will find in a garden centre. It contains a blend of upgraded black peat, granulated peat moss and perlite. If you are going to grow indoors or outdoors, this is the potting mix you want to use.

Advantages of CANNA Terra Professional

  • Exclusive, high value organic ingredients such as airy peat moss free from diseases
  • These ingredients also promote exceptional root development and the formation of thicker stems
  • Higher yields. Faster metabolism combined with low sickness rates ensure an increased production
These characteristics and more make CANNA Terra Professional highly suitable for growing plants.

Directions of Use:

Loosen the CANNA Terra Professional and fill the pots, compressing the medium slightly. Add water until a little begins to drain through and then place the plant in the CANNA Terra Professional.

Watering

Depending on the size of the pot, growing conditions and the plant's growth stage, adjust the amount of water given to the needs of the plant in question. Under normal conditions, adult plants evaporate 4-6 litres of moisture a day, per m2. For larger plants, use 5 litre pots or larger. The larger the pot, the more constant the root environment will be. If you use run-to-waste, make sure that there’s sufficient drainage; you may want to place a thin layer of hydro-granules in the bottom of the pot for air and drainage. CANNA Terra Professional is a product, homogenous in structure, natural and free of harmful viruses and soil diseases. CANNA Terra Professional has a complex water/air system that creates conditions ideal for virtually every form of cultivation. After use, CANNA Terra Professional makes an excellent potting mix improver. CANNA Terra Professional's plastic packaging material is 100% recyclable.

Ecothrive Coco Lite 50L

£14.00 incl. Vat

Ecothrive Coco Lite 50L

The perfect mix of 70% Coco Coir and 30% Perlite for optimum aeration, pre-blended with Ecothrive Charge for an unbeatable biological boost.

Why blend coco with perlite?

Perlite increases the amount of air within the mix and reduces the water holding capacity. This creates a lighter mix with better drainage and improved resistance to compaction.

Plants grown in Ecothrive Coco Lite will show improved root growth, quicker establishment, a faster growth rate and are less prone to the effects of over watering than pure coco coir.
